Who the Avicenna is?

Avicenna or Ibnu Sina is a Islamic philosopher. Ibnu Ali Husain ibn Abdillah ibn Sina or we often called Ibnu Sina, was born in 980 AC, in Asfshana, near Bukhara, now Uzbekistan. He is a Persian that have learned philosophy and religion in youngest age. In five years old, he have known very well Qoran. In tenth, he have known Islam very well and know all about Islam. He learn many branch of knowledge discipline.

One of knowledge that he learn for first time is philosophy that was written by Aristoteles that explain philosophy and metafphisics. In this discipline he have a little problem for understand that knowledge, although he have read for fourty times and know each word and memorize it, but he still don’t understand about it. In his confusion, he always take a wudhu and then pray to Allah to ask some Hidayah for his confusion. One day, when he go to a bookstore, eventually he find the answer for his confusion. A book that was written by Al Farabi, answer all of his confusion in understand Aristoteles’s philosophy. If we more think about it, it’s a wonderful things for a children, while in that age many children like for play with their friends, but Ibnu Sina in his age, have understood about that discipline.

In sixteenth, he decide to learn medical knowledge. In his study, not only learn by handbook, but also he try to treat his patient and develop a new medical technique. His knowledge brought him to tret prince Nuh Ibn Mansur till he recovered. So, as his prizes, the King pleasing him to read all of the books in the royal library. In every his research and study, he always write a book. And more than four hundred and fifty books was written by him, but only two hundred and fifty books left now. One of books that known by many people in the world and become a handbook for medical education in west is “Al Qanun fit Thibb”. And the other books, explain about philophy like, As Shifa, An Najat and Al Isyara. He also learn and study about Astronomy and other branch of physics.

He is a hardworker and religious person. And because his hardwork, he given tittle “The Prince of the Phisicians”.  And in his last life, he got a ulcer disease, that bring him die in Hamazan 1037 AC.
